So your theory is employees collectively are getting paid less so no one has the fresh money to buy the stocks?

Yeah thats been my theory forever. I think white collar wage growth drove stock markets and tax receipts in the 90s, and as soon as these companies started offshoring, the stock market collapsed and tax receipts collapsed.

The US stock markets are subsidized in a way with all these 401Ks and ESPPs and savings plans. Plus wages are what fuels savings in general.
