I'm kind of borderline "itchy" about this. I do think that they do what they do for what they see as a compelling reason, and in fact at times for what I would see as a compelling reason. I don't think its just power lust. OTOH when things are very secretive its hard to be sure about things. I understand the reason for the secrecy and I don't consider the secrecy to be evidence of improper conduct, but its still unfortunate.
