My reading of it was that the emphasis was on participating in a standard's development. Which makes sense. One can't be paying attention to everything, but can reasonably be expected to be paying close attention to one's own patents and promotion of technology in a standard which would make those patents essential. You are right, I don't have evidence other than what we've all already read and thanks for making that available. It's all too foggy with too many unknowns [known and unknown unknowns], with the flippism of the courts still to come. So I've taken my guesses on the outcome and will wait to see who wins and loses.
