Iran now has 150,000 US troops exactly where they want them. Within striking distance and between shiite Iraqis, shiite Lebanese and Shiite Iran from every direction. The U.S. would not know what hit'em. You want to see how body bags can multiply real quick? So don't wish for an Iran confrontation. I mean sheesh... here Bush and Israel are getting their butts kicked by just a few hundred gorillas. Sheesh...

WTF??? i didn't say anything about Iraq or Afghanistan. I picked out first one and then 2 cases where I think the US should back off. Iran and Korea. Both want some attention from the US. Both blame the US for many of their problems. So if the US is interfering, they can still blame the US. If the US stopped talking about it, and simply ignored the two of them they might make some headway as other countries stepped up to the plate. This is a UN problem, they have lots of members, let them deal with it.

Maybe if the US started to normalise relations with Cuba and or Syria, as an example of international relations then some of the countries might see some hope. Syria wants to be part of the world stage, and normalizing with Cuba might give Castro a weeks triumph, but his citizens might see it for what it is he just isn't a threat anymore.
