Yup.. we just started watching the very first episode Sunday night..just finished the fourth hour. I think I like watching it off a DVD better than just weekly. I watch so little regular TV that I'd probably not get around to watching it that way.. especially with the commercials.

OK.. far be it from me to be a party pooper, but I am raising a question about '24' here. We watched the whole first season and I have to say it was pretty good. Although there were several 'over the top' plot twists that just weren't credible, it was still pretty good.
However, with the start of the second season, I noticed on the first show, what appears to be propaganda. 1) Torture works and we need to do it to protect the country and 2) anti-war protestors are dope-smoking, slovenly, airheaded whackos.
I don't want to be too hair-trigger on this propaganda thing, but having studied it, and knowing how it works, it looks to me as if '24' has the potential to be a significant neocon propaganda tool. Works especially well on folks who have the propensity to believe those things in the first place, too.
The basic Jack Bauer thing of being an action-oriented red-tape-cutting rule-breaker, of course is practically an American stereotype.

I'm going to keep watching for now. But I am curious. Will we be treated to more of this as we go along, oh '24' aficianado?
