Oh it absolutely is a myth. I've seen that stats. Republicans have traditionally been conservative, which has leant itself well to them selling us on the idea that they were also fiscally conservative. That has been their biggest coup in my lifetime. I mean I grew up on that lie. If only Democrats were pro-life and against the stupidity of the ACLU, as well as for protecting the Christian roots of this country and for a strong military, then I would call myself a Democrat. But that's too much to hope for. So in values, I'll continue to call myself a Republican, but when it comes to fiscal, economic, environmental, and political leanings, I think I lean a heck of a lot more towards the Democrats of today. What a transformation. I've been on this earth for four decades plus as a Republican's Republican, but now I identify more with Democrats than Republicans. It's scary what one bad President and Congress can do to change a person's philosophy.
