I loved the action on 24, but the amount of action they tried to cram into an hour was a bit over the top, which was why I was surprised at the Emmy wins. I also thought the characters were a bit thinner than say, my favorite, NCIS. My brain is very spacial, so when something is depicted as happening at location A, which I know to be X miles from location B, it's very difficult for me to comprehend how they could have action at A spilling over into B so fast. I had to suspend my disbelief on that. I think it will help to have the series in sequence, which I never achieved by casual viewing on the tube.
