>>BDAZZ: I can understand your frustration and desire to "stick it to Nokia" but as many on the Board have stated - we probably won't ever hear the details of the conclusion because they will seal the settlement.<<

Frustrated? on the contrary. Check back to my posts from a month ago. This has created a great buying op and some early rewards are already coming in. It's still a gamble, but the gamble looks pretty good, even have a little 15% room to maneuver. The same fud attack (Nokia license and all) and price crash happened years ago just before QCOM's 400% run up.
I don't really care about Nokia. They will get what they deserve. I just want QCOM to double in the next five years. And whether or not the tree makes a sound when it falls, it will still fall and I'm quite certain the world will know. It's just the way life works.

>>Several years ago we Q advocates couldn't wait for the day when 3G unfolded.<<

Still can't wait. It's just starting to unfold, but we are still up 300% since 1x took off.

>> The guild, as Mq would call them, then unveiled GPRS and later EDGE. No way, chimed in Q's faithful. But ATT and other operators went along this growth path toward 3G from their GSM base and said CDMA 1X wasn't any better<<

I don't think you are up on the present situation. Q's faithful were correct. GPRS/EDGE had to incorporate QCOM IPR to make these technologies work.

>>But management assured us that we were poised to grab 50% of the WCDMA chip business.<<

They set a target of 50%. Two entirely different things. QCOM set a goal of scoring 50 points in the game. You're saying they failed and it's only the first qtr. Then you say they are struggeling to get to 25%. I'd love QCOM getting 25%. Do the math.

a>>Little did we know that the Q management was sitting on their hands the shareholders expectation of a rapid Qualcomm move to 3G nirvana was being hijacked.<<

Hijacked?? It's just getting started. And when you say QCOM was sitting on their hands evidence shows Q was getting the jump on HSDPA at this time. This is where the real 3G buildout will come from.

>>I am a long term stockholder and feel very disappointed as do many others on this Board.<<

Why would you own a stock whose management you state has been sitting on their hands, not performing, and missing their goals while the competition gets the better of it. Does this seem like a smart thing to do?
