I don't necessarily have a problem with the concept, but the measures pushed in the name of the concept, or the methods of pushing or implementing the measures can be problematic. That's true of lots of things. It's necessary to differentiate between the concept and the measures advocated by some in its name. I recall a recent discussion with John on libertarianism. Same problem. Sustainability, at its core, is like old fashioned conservation. It is a constructive perspective on resources, not to be thrown out with the bathwater just because some try to ride its coat tails.
