Most of the debris is gone. Beaumont didn't suffer as much as Lake Charles, much less New Orleans, so there wasn't nearly as much grid lock. Still a lot of blue tarps, but that mainly is because of the labor shortage.


Is that why the roofs are still unrepaired......a labor shortage? Is this true for the whole Gulf area or just TX? I am stunned at how slow the recovery has been. Maybe my expectations are set too high.........by comparison, earthquake repairs in LA were done fairly quickly......maybe because it was LA. After looking at considerable video clips, photos and tv reports, you can see there has been progress but not nearly enough IMO.
