I guess that you're calculating that the CURRENT loss due to QQQQ amounts to 10% of the stock market portion of the portfolio. That would amount to 5% of the total portfolio if one was half in bonds in the first place.

I was calculating the loss at the bottom in 2002, which is why I came up with the somewhat larger figure of 7%.
