Indeed, the real fault line of the islamist revolutionary movement is not between us and them, but inside the Muslim world. The extremists need to radicalize the Muslim world - and to capture political power. The real fight is between the islamist revolutionaries - and the "liberal tendencies" in Muslim countries.

We should by all means encourage those tendencies, no doubt about it. But we should not allow radicals to obtain nukes. That would give their movement a great amount of credibility and momentum.... among many other history changing implications.

We keep hearing this, but nothing happens.
