I've not been to Palestine to witness the degree to which the Israelis dehumanize the Pals with check points, closings of crossings, land grabs to hold onto settlements, etc., etc. Even if the Pals laid down their arms and rockets and suicide belts and played nice would Israel let them do it? Liberals complain that all that needs to be done is for Israel to stop picking on them. However each time Israel loosens the grip on the Pals they retaliate with more whining, more demands, more rockets and suicide bombers. It would appear that there is no solution to their problem. They elected Hamas now let them stew in their own juice. Close the crossings, blockade their ports, close their air space. Completely isolate them then drop leaflets showing how they could be growing food in the greenhouses the Israelis left when they evacuated and which the Pals immediately vandalized and stripped of anything they could sell. The do not have to admit defeat. They just have to learn to meet the Israelis half way and to accommodate to reality as they will never be allowed to win as long as Israel is a viable state. The Pals seem to be completely irrational. I long ago lost patience with them. Am I being overly harsh in my reasoning?
