You've really got some twisted history Itchy! Was Palestine empty, just waiting for the Israelis? I don't think so. Was the population there majority Jewish before Israel? Were Jews even the largest minority? No. No Palestine wasn't empty, but jews have been migrating there since 1902, and the surrounding Arab Countries nationalised jewish property and evicted the jews. so those Arab countries had lots of room for the palestinians. However, the jews built a vibrant economy while most of the Arab countries sat and did nothing. Where was the foreign aid, that would have made palestine as rich and vibrant as Israel is today. Surely some of that money came from foreign governments, but much of it came from jews all over the world. Where were the huge Muslim donations? they didn't exist. Why haven't the Millions of Muslims made palestine the equal to israel? It is not israel's fault that no Muslim cares enough about the palestinians to create businesses and make it viable. They just send guns. Israel offered back the occupied territories, in exchange for peace. What exactly is wrong with that. It happens that the Golan hieghts are exactly that, they are excellent places to fire into israel. You don't give your enemy back territory where they can fire into your population until you have a lasting peace. If Israel had peace, have you any idea of the problem it would be for Islamic nations? They would have to explain why Israelis are so rich and Muslims so poor. Rulers like the House of Saud would have to share the wealth. War is simply cheaper.
