"It is going to take a very, very long time to heal our relationship with Iran."

The sooner we start talking and treating them with respect, the sooner it will happen.

As soon as you treat Iranian authoritarian leadership with respect you are a supporter of an unpopular hard line group of religious fanatics that rule their subjects/cattle/populace in a way that the subject don't like. Iranian leadership mandates behaviour to the Iranian population when the system should be vice verse (the population should tell the leaders how they want to be rulled). Do you know that it is illegal to dance in public in Iran? How can you respect that? Do you know poverty and joblessness is a huge problem in Iran, but somehow government money is found to send weapons to Hezbollah for no other purpose than to mess with Israel. Iranian authoritarian religious fanatical leadership does not deserve our respect, and the Iranian people should be aware that the USA will not supprt their oppressors.
