I note they are Atheists, perhaps that is what the ME needs, no?? I'd just settle for moderates. However, there are thousands of years of cultural, as well as religious, influence that must be gradually overcome throughout this region.. The amazing thing, IMO, is that the current Arab memory seems to either goes back 50-100 years (end of ottoman rule and formation of Israel), or 1000-1300 years (crusades, Jihads, Caliphates.. ). There doesn't seem to be any recognition of anything of importance that occurred in between those two periods. Or is that just bias in my perspective getting in the way? Hawk
