Are you with a straight face, suggesting our reaction to Communists taking over Florida in the post WWII time frame would have been milder than the Arab reaction to Zionism?

If the communists had seized FL and tried to secede from the union the reaction may have been violent. The difference is that the US is an established nation with long established claims over FL. There was no established Palestinian nation that the Israelis moved in to and took over.
