You have not read up on the Stern and Irgun groups Weren't they social groups for the local pinocle players.... One of my friends Dad's was Irgun.... Seemed quite and nice when I was young

You have not read up on the Stern and Irgun groups. To the extent that the Jews had an equivalent to Hezbollah and Hamas, those were them. But the Jews had Ben Gurion--and he made sure that they lost the argument. He had some of them killed when he had to do so, and forced the others to accept the compromise. The Palestinians need a leader like that, not like Arafat or whoever. Unfortunately, it will take a lot more violence and death to do it now that the rejectionist attitude has been allowed to grow.
