More to the point, I understand ANY local ethnic population, from Arabs in Palestine to Zulu's in South Africa, to Chief Joseph in my own backyard, having fought tooth and nail against overwhelming odds to protect their lands against immigrants. You don't seem to understand this. Why?

Since the 800,000 Jews were in reality simply being transfered from one part of the country to another, it left lots of space for others to move. Also after Chief joseph lost his land North America has welcome all kinds of people. We even let muslims in, which may turn out to be a deadly mistake. But most of the Muslims in Palestine were simply conquerors from another time. Besides I do not see this as a religious war, fueled in no small part by the islamic notion that Islamic Needs or wants in this case supercede all else.
I was taught, and I believe that if the Arab "States had welcomed the israelis, instead of making 60 years of war, that the entire region would be rich with irrigation, and solar power and all the benefits of present civilization. How many billions and billions of dollars and how many opportunities have been wasted in order to assuage the pride of Earths most Backward Religion?
