Yeah i saw the pitfalls coming, lol ... they know already too much through intuition, details serve only to quantify and solidify their nagging points ... but we already had a neighbour who comes over for tea and talks stocks with me, and of course we pull up the best charts du jour for our respective bragging points, so some of this rubbed off ... plus she had never put anything into an rrsp, had considerable credits accumulated, and this spring was shocked to get back something like a thirteen-loonie refund from Revenue Canada while i, who had little deducted from payroll income, got almost all of it back, lol, through the magic of doing several things the system seems to like ... well one thing led to another, you had a role in it too, the way you talk about family accounts, i thought no big deal, i already take care of an account for somebody else, this should be easy ... yeah right

Best thing is that monday i told her mmgg was bottoming, and Ottawa says she can't have it till it's on the Amex, so that has her attention deflected in a direction all canucks know well .... then today i get stumped in trying to add some in another account, had to bump it up, and see now that there may have been a local reason - Message 22766258

[edit] - house insurance, i had that replacement cost thing last year, it upped the premium by forty per cent or so ... this little shack is now insured for over ten times what it cost me to build it in the late seventies ... had i just put all the premium money into chartered bank shares, i could build it a couple of times over now .... but to think thusly is heresy, and could change a person's luck, best to just keep kneeling in the direction of Bay Street and coughing up the cash
