. . . because by the time I had finished I had all these little paper flags in the book- and if I had my own copy I could just highlight it. My wife buys great globs of these small little stickum tab pads, ones of various sizes. Then we put them all around the house in the various places we read library books. If you find a good quote or a good summary or whatever, just stick one of these stickums in and then refer back later. Take them all out before taking the book back to the library. It's not nearly as good as marking your own book but I frequently check books out of the library, read some portion, then decide to buy. One index of what I think of the book is the number of those little stickums I use.
