You've slightly amended your statement to reflect that the terrorists cannot hurt us that badly as opposed to the analogy to ghosts being unable to hurt us. So how badly do you think they could hurt us? The conversation here seems to have devolved into a discussion over whether terrorism could mean the end of civilization as we know it. IMO, it is a convenient way of distracting from the problem of how to deal with terrorism as it exists and seems to be evolving. I'd actually be interested in hearing constructive ideas for evaluation, containment and eradication as opposed to criticism of what has already been done, or not, as the case may be.
