Queenie says... "I'd guess he[retiredinprescot] was probably just more than a little sick to his stomach at the time and a little over-agitated and more than a bit mad at himself and probably realized later that he was as much to blame as anyone."

I'd guess the same thing Queen and after he fired off that misleading email to Brimelow he became something of a celebrity when his wife saw his name in print. Don't blame me, didn't you read what Brimelow said? LOL

He now had a scapegoat for his own transgressions.

Less than a couple of years ago, retired says everything is OK and he's happy he's out of that cubicle. No mention of QQQs, ruined retirement nor Bob Brinker....

An Early Retiree's Plan
retireinprescot| 12-19-04 | 12:17 PM

Hi Bob,
I'm 57, my wife is 51. We quit our jobs (Corporate Cubicle Jobs) and self-retired about 5 years ago.
I have a small pension, no COLA, which provides about 20% of our expenses.
Too young for Social Security

Our investments are split between qualified (2/3) and non-qualified (1/3). About 30% stock funds leaning toward larger cap dividend paying like DVY (ETF) but with a healthy slug of Vanguard Total Market Index.

20% in non-traded Public REITS (Wells and CNL) paying 7% dividends and no price fluctuation. About 40% in 401K Stable Value Fund paying a nice 6% dividend. About 10% in individual short term Corporate Bonds.
Right now we are drawing down about 3.5% per year of total assets, but all taken from non-qualified money due to our ages.

IN 2 years when I turn 59 1/2 I will start tapping 401K using up the 15% tax bracket.
We moved from rural upstate NY to Northern AZ and built a house.

No debt and taxes are much lower here. Prices are a bit higher for most everything else but nothing like California.

We traded off retiring young for a low stress quiet lifestyle that still allows for a good deal of travel, eating out etc.

No regrets.

--Maybe. I think there was a very good reason (from kirk's point-of-view) that kirk urged "Ernest" NOT to post here.

Kirk, as we all know, is not averse to using censorship to promote his views and his agenda.

I don't think it would do kirk's anti-brinker campaign any good if we were able to ask "Ernest" a lot of probing questions. ESPECIALLY if "Ernest," by some miracle, actually answered them. -:)
