don't have the data handy but I believe widening credit spreads and a declining stock market go hand in hand.

Credit spreads sure were going up in 00-02. I'm fairly certain the same thing happened at the beginning of other bear markets.


Yes typically with a lag
Credit blows up but it takes the market a while to figure it out
