When we leave Iraq, those Iraqis who are killing our soldiers will not follow us to the US. That crap about fight them there so we won't fight them here is silly.

I would agree that Bush has now said that SH was not involved in 9-11. But before he said that he and Cheney implicated SH and Iraq as being hand in glove with Al Qaeda. They did this over and over and over and over. In speeches, in television appearances. Bush said we removed an ally of Al Qaeda. Cheney said Atta met with Iraqi agents in Prauge. The connection between SH and 9-11 was made over and over and over and over again.

The president did not offer this new wisdom that SH was not involved in 9-11 until well after the war in Iraq was underway. Why did he say this? Because a reporter asked him the direct question, Was Saddam involved in any way with 9-11 and do you have proof of his involvement?

Bush was caught having to tell the full truth, and he did so reluctantly.

Even after that statement he and Cheney continued to dance around the question of SH involvement in 9-11 and participation with OBL as an ally of Al Qaeda.

Such a performance of lies and deception has rarely been made by anyone, let alone the President and VP of the US.
