Regarding Iran, remember there was a much nicer guy who struggled between the devil & deep blue sea there for awhile. Too bad the USA didn't help his cause along with improved relations, thus helping align voters behind the moderates, rather than chasing them into the Mullahs' nutcase's arms. We wanted the whole enchilada before helping substantially, and he could not deliver under the circumstances. Diplomacy reminds me of stock investing: In retrospect I've missed many very nice opportunities :)
