Sean Hannity says corrupt Delay congress "worth dying for".

Anne Coulter says moderate Repub Lincoln Chaffee should be shot.

Rumsfeld says people who don't support Bush-Cheney are like those who appeased Adolf Hitler (while using Nazi style rhetoric himself)

Cheney says if Kerry were president we'd be attacked again by Al Qaida. Even though Bushies haven't stopped a single attack.

Bush says Saddam and Al Qaida are the same thing, we can't distinguish between them, but then said Osama Bin LAden doesn't matter anymore.

Looks like a bunch of insane fascist bozos running our country now.

Armey is saying that 85% of the lower class elevates or goes somewhere after 9 years. If that were true, nearly all of our inner city slums should be gone after 9 years.

Not everyone in the slums is in the lowest quitile, although I imagine a very strong majority is. More importantly not everyone in the lowest quitile lives in the slums. Many in the lowest quintile are young people just starting out. I would say the majority of the lowest quintile doesn't live in slums.

Also while people move out of the lowest quintile other people move in to it.

Point blank, Tim, you and Armey don't understand how poverty works. Its not like you get sick [with poverty] and then after a certain period of time, you get better and move out of poverty. The majority of poverty is entrenched and is passed down from one generation to the next. It took a herculean effort on the part of Clinton, Congress and the states to make a dent in welfare in the 1990s. Yes, its possible that young people may flirt with poverty when they first start working but they make up a few percentage points at best. The majority of poor people have been poor for a long time. Armey wants to believe this crap because it leads to another GOP hypothesis......that its entirely the fault of the poor that they are poor. The GOP has never wanted to admit that racism, classism, or capitalism might have anything to do with the problem.

Therefore, this report by Armey is just more of the GOP craziness that has been in the ascendant since 2000.......like the war in Iraq will be a slam dunk; that tax cuts revive an economy and benefit everyone; that Terry Schiavo is alive; that terrorists are Islamic fascists; that the MSM is unfair to the GOPers; that Clinton was a bad president; that Fox provides fair and balanced news; that FEMA is not an agency of first responders; that Bush is a great president; that God picked Bush to lead us during these difficult times, that Republicans are frugal and Dems. spendthrifts, etc.
