I am interested in why people turn over their sovereign individuality to people like Warren Jeffs, David Koresh, Jim Jones, the Bagwan Shree Rashneesh, and so forth. Larry King was interviewing some woman who had been in Jeffs' cult. She says "It's the charisma." Larry King says "What charisma?" See, that's my question. What is it about these guys that leads people to give up everything for them? To me, they are nothing but shysters. Perhaps it is because I have a very strong resistance to sales pitches that I don't understand them.
