Zeta,

1. Independent funding and analysis of nutrition is quite worthwhile. Less than a generation ago, diabetics were still eating high fat diets simply because most people, including professionals, didn't know better.

2. I firmly believe that a healthy lifestyle - nutrition, exercise and adequate sleep - would go a long way toward preventing many diseases devastating the underprivileged. Information that is second nature to health professionals may be lacking in the at risk population. This research and the subsequent press releases certainly won't hurt their cause.
