You have the economic end of the rebuttal to the "Hooverville" crowd covered quite well here. I thoroughly enjoy reading your posts on the subject.

Unfortunately, the folks you send your excellent responses off to prefer the Big Lie version of bash Bush economics. They could care less about the fact that you consistently discredit their BS with apples to apples comparisons using reliable statistics. For them, it's all about scoring political points & harming Bush by any means necessary. Bush is held to absolute standards of perfection while they conjure up misleading statistics to "prove" our economy is in a shambles. As long as there is at least one poor person, Bush failed. As long as at least one person is without 100% medical coverage, Bush failed. One person unemployed? Failure!

Of course their recollection of Clinton's "Goldilocks" economy is one of 100% perfection - the absolute gold standard. However, under no circumstances will they stand for you using real facts, apples to apples comparisons or engaging in reality based debate. That sir is completely unfair!

I added those articles since they spoke plainly about how the metrics of income or wealth comparison don't always factor in how technology & medicine have advanced to the point that we have so many things that are incredibly inexpensive now that we'd never even dreamed about having at any price 20 - 40 years ago.

As much as dedicated leftists with BDS want to believe that this really is a "Hooverville" economy, all one need to do is look around them anywhere they go.
