I saw it in the paper,and I have vague memories of it. I don't think the Series was on TV every game, so it was radio out here. I do remember I tried to fake a fever to stay home and listen to one of the games.

That was about 3 years before we discovered portable radios, and started listening (more accurately, trying to listen) in class.
Then the Giants moved to within 20 miles of me. But I was a Dodger fan, so that sucked.
