LBJ and Nixon were equally guilty. LBJ knew it and bowed out with shame and a shred of dignity. Bush should have done the same thing in 2004. He had no business running for re-election after his collosal failure in Iraq. He did his country great harm, especially cheating to steal both elections which severely damaged our democracy here at home. Nixon's arrogance pride not to accept "defeat" in Vietnam caused the war to go on for about three years longer than it had to. All the people who died in those three years are the fault of Nixon's pride and arrogance. Once we pulled out look what happened. The Vietnamese went to war against the communist Chinese, kicked out the Soviets and haven't bothered us since. Some "threat to the US" huh?
