"People in the main stream were mislead by Bush and Cheney. No wonder that they could not distinguish between the two." People in the mainstream could not tell me who either OBL or Saddam were prior to 911. Following 911 there was a lot of confusion. It wasn't caused by things Bush and Cheney said but I would have liked to see them or someone in Govt. make a real effort to bring us all up to speed. Even after the campaign against Saddam was well clarified by the president and the press, I found most people to be in a state of confusion about it all for a year or two.
