I don't agree that Clinton was a better president than Bush. What would Clinton have done about 911, Iraq or Iran? Nothing? What do you pay down the road for these mistakes?

If is fine to sound erudite and I am not saying that Adlai Stevenson did not do smart as well as sound smart, but it is quite another to quote Schopenhauer as if you are not quoting at all, but not know the right thing to do for the ages. Was Clinton the noblest work of god? Did he always think justly?

Bush is unpopular with intellectuals. I would not hire an intellectual to win a war that has to be won. I have never seen an intellectual win any war. It is generally done by men who sacrifice popularity for effectiveness. Patton, Churchill, Currie,Alexander.
