He picked 1.67% because that's what I always use. In traditional p&f we use 1 pt between 20 and 100, which means 1 out of 60 at the mid-point, which is 1.67%.

I plugged the symbol into the same chart Puddle had posted for KLAC.

So, no reason here. Might ask Puddle why he chose that box size for KLAC.
