I say this with all due respect for you EC, but if a brillant man like yourself cannot see what bush is about, then I hold out little hope for civilization. Forget the esoteria of economics, how do you excuse his crazy ideas about gay marriage or stem cell research or how to fight terrorism? Or even what it is. The point about Iraq is that he should not have gone in in the first place. And he blatantly lied when doing it. He destabilized the region by doing so and played right into the hands of Osama and Iran. Bush took out their biggest enemy! Sadam and Iraq. Sadam hated Osama bin Laden and killed all the clerics. Iraq was a secular state which is why we helped Sadam against Iran. We should have made our stand in Afghanistan. And what about all of his blatant lies. Those mean nothing to you? He lied about Iraq being tied ot 9/11 over and over and over and is still doing it. And he lied about there not being a civil war and he just lies and lies and lies and they have it on tape! I do not understand how you can not see this?

OT, for Koan and EC... Well versed in «real» history and other american «fables and legends». As it is too easy to point just one man... Even if that one man could only be W. Clinton was cool, sure, and, at least sexually relieved, but still he was very imperial like the others... and still is the predecessor of the other... despite certain lexical divergences.... And remember both had (have) the right to harm bears in that «well runned» country! I'm dyslexic... Very entertaining to read your existentialoMarxobrotherish exchange with Koan.
