Good news... of course 'success' is relative, and depends on how high the goals are set, too (kinda like 'what the meaning of "is" is'....) :-) Would be nice to know if this test gave the targeters 48 hours (or more) advance notice, like previous tests, of the exact timing and approach vector of the target... (and also banned ALL evasion techniques, even the simplest ones). When they finally work up to a realistic system test we'll have something to 'chew on'.... Everything right now is still very preliminary. (And: don't forget North Korea's promise of a "Keg of nails" in orbit to take out targeting sats prior to any hostilities. VERY 'low tech'... but very cost effective. We don't want to wind up with a gold-plated boondoggle that can be defeated with 'tokens'.)
