"We are very pleased with the acceptance of ACCC Cable in China;" said Marvin Sepe, President of CTC's subsidiary CTC Cable Corporation, "Over the last several months we have completed a number of challenging installations throughout China and are happy to report that all sites are operating normally, in spite of some very severe weather conditions." A number of the ACCC installations in China were hit by a series of typhoons including a near direct hit by the worst typhoon to strike China in the last 50 years.

Utilities in China have demonstrated a growing acceptance and confidence in ACCC conductors and in the solution it provides for constrained transmission lines. ACCC conductors were certified for use by the regional power grids in the early part of this year. This certification has opened the way for seven different projects undertaken since April of this year. CTC continues to pursue its Chinese marketing efforts, including the final certification of its products by the State Grid Corporation of China for use in high voltage transmission. In addition, CTC is pressing for local manufacturers to strand its ACCC conductors in China. Individual manufacturers are required to qualify as ACCC conductor manufacturer to ensure the quality of the final conductors delivered to the market. The qualification of a Chinese conductor manufacturer would complement similar efforts already well underway in Europe and the Middle East.
