Broadcom would be best advised to concentrate on negotiating their way out of the mess they have created, and make peace, not more war.

Good advise. If you want to get out of a hole, first stop digging. Big egos often don't get that, however.

A reminder -- if capital markets (i.e. the buyers and sellers of shares of BRCM, determining the correct perceived "equilibrium" price) perform their "duty" properly

(as one learns in finance theory courses at business school),

then a continuously declining price for BRCM shares (starting yesterday) should send a signal to BRCM management that MAYBE their approach to the litigation mess that they initiated ...

was (is) really stupid.
