The Lebanese government was pro-Syrian and asked the Syrian military to stay. I would expect that Lebanon as a sovereign country has a right to do that.

Geezus Jttmab!! What color is the sky in your world.. Purple Haze??

The Syrians organized the assassination of a former Lebanese Prime Minister!!! There were huge anti-Syrian demonstrations!!

And now the terrorist militia the Syrians and Iran armed and supported provoked a war with Israel that has left their country devastated.

And of course the government was pro-Syrian. That's like claiming the Palestinians of 1948 were Pro-Jordanian.. just before the Hashemites occupied and annexed their land. They didn't have a friggin' choice.

Hell, the Syrians had the guns, the tanks, and the planes, and Lebanon was in a state of civil war, provoked in large part due to the presence of foreign entities on their soil (the first of which was Arafat's PLO). How could the Lebanese dare be anything OTHER than "pro-Syrian".

The certainly couldn't count upon the UN to do anything.. And people like you are just content to sit on your @sses and let the totalitarian governments of the world do whatever they want to do..

What right did the Syrians have to overstay their welcome and attempt to control and violate the sovereignty of a country that haven't bothered to officially recognize?

You think that all Lebanese have completely forgotten the Lebanese that Israel has imprisoned during the former occupation and still has?

What.. all three of them?? Was the incarceration of 3 Lebanese, one of whom killed a 4 year old girl with a rifle butt, worth unleashing this war?

cnsnews.com

How about Shebaa Farms, is that part of Syria or Lebanon?

Part of Syria YA Dumb@ss.. It's NEVER been recognized as part of Lebanon. If it had been recognized by the UN as part of Lebanon, Israel would have turned it over to them in 2000.
But it wasn't.. so why are you scraping the bottom of your barrel of excuses and justifications to fight your losing battle??

I'm sure you're already contemplating trying to widen this discussion to the plight of the Palestinians and the illegality of Israel's existence as justifications for Hizbullah's aggression and war crimes.
