It's good to know we're all on the same page about what the problems are, and the need to solve them.

I don't envy your jobs, do understand the enormity of herding on-line cats, and do admire the way you guys are always striving to improve things.

Best!

Dave,
I challenge this statement.
The one board per ticker has the definite merit of forcing users to engage in a true dialog. It drives traffic and promotes the bona fide exchange of information.

Can you show be examples of this to be true?

For that to be true, you almost have to have a basher as a moderator. What I have seen, and this may only pertain to "problem boards", longs tend to want to just shut the "bashers" up.

If you look at the 2 PLNI boards on SI (for example) Where would some of the best DD be if the unmoderated board was not there? Where would some of the best "bona fide exchanges of information" be if the unmoderated board was not there?

Why don't you ask Captain Kirk to moderate the Ihub board. He seems to do a good job on the PLNI board on SI.

I don't have a problem with 2 boards, because it almost always is the case where the best board(meaning best managed) will always win out anyway.

PS and big time off topic, but don't you guys at SI think it is about time that you stop flagging the word basher/s as being misspelled.
