Bush is politisizing the war and then denying it. That is lieing, pure and simple. You know metacomet, the world has become expert at spin. The global village has created rhetorical skills (psychobable)beyond my imagination. No matter what bush does rove finds a way to spin it. Think about how bush was able to invade a country, and tell blatant lies to do so and then for good measure ties it to 9/11 and he gets away with it. I remember the dems vote on his 9/11 referendum and they were all scared for their political lives if they did not vote for it. That does not excuse it, but it explains it. Only Wayne Morris and Earnest Gruening voted against Vietnam and both lost in their next election. That fact was not lost on the dems when the vote came up. Now we have bush trying to tie 9/11 pretty much into a worldwide fight with muslims all over the entire world. His saying if we do not fight them in the streets of Iraq we will have to fight tme in the streets of the USA. That is nuts! How would they get here-lol? But in trying to make a decision about whether bush is a good leader or not, the best thing to do is see how he lived his life. And simply apply the same standards to him you would to any man i.e. "would you buy a used car from this guy-lol". This is not a nice man, he is not an educated man, he surrounds himself with sycophants and strange people and takes crazy positions, like stem cell research, undermines the constitution (in the name of terrorism) and runs his presidency in an imperial manner. What bothers me the most is how the people so willingly give up freedoms for nonsense put forward by rove. I am much more worried about my freedoms than any terrorists. Where has bush ever exhibited true compassion? He put more people to death when governor of texas than the rest of the us combined. Whatever else anyone wants to say about bush and clinton, clinton has true compassion and bush is a run of the mill stupid bully. And clinton can out think bush with one hand tied behind his back--who would dispute that one? And last, now they are saying the war on terrorism is the same as the fight agaisnt Hitler and anyone questioning the war is like chamberline. Then bush says he does not want to politisize the war--good grief-lol. Who beleives this nonsense?
