Yep. The US claims to be the lone remaining superpower but still refuses to say that it is powerful enough to actually create terrorism.

So, according to rightwingers, the US is powerful on the one hand but really weak on the other. It's a great argument but only for wasting time and money on military hardware.

Can you imagine how great the US would be if we reallocated resources away from preemptive war and put it into national healthcare, free lifelong education, investment into small businesses and new technology, energy independence and the like.

Heck, we could even put it into enhanced border security although if we knocked off meddling in other countries' affairs, the borders wouldn't be that big a deal.
