I hope we all do that. My first venture into precious metals came after following Russ Winters :-))) !

The newsletters I subscribe to have more than paid for themselves ... for the most part. I am underwater with Nova Uranium ... I was too greedy and did not take profits ...

My biggest newsletter gripe is paying money for a newsletter that comes out with 'new' junior recommendations I already know about and own.

One complaint I had with Roulston was his not doing regular updates on his recommendations. If a pick did not pan out he just never mentioned it again -- I believe that has changed. I have heard both pros and cons on his Resource Opportunities - mostly his newsletter not issued as regularly as others and he has used reviews written for one specific company as an 'issue' or 'alert' to his subscribers. When I subscribed the cost was US$129.00 for TWO years and I was satisfied with the subscription.

During the tech bubble, 'top' newsletters were priced from $299 and tens of thousands subscribed. At his peak, Gilder was making millions from his newsletter (and probably his stocks) ... without having to go out in the boonies. Now the metal/mining newsletters are having their day in the sun.

One of my newer peoplemarks is zoo york a "free" poster at SI with [only] 80+ peoplemarks. I bet those 80+ are all goldbugs. I have been following him at Smart Investment, forum on Canadian Junior Gold and Silver Companies.
