I think Hoagland has realized the dead end Bush has steered himself into both politically and militarily. So now he is backpedaling a bit and looking for a new angle. That's why I read op-eds, to see if I can find some insight into how to get past policy logjams. Same reason I don't read all the hardcore partisan stuff on the right or the real left (not the imaginary MSM left, LOL). That is just name-calling and self-serving closed-loop thinking.
