Democrats have excellent plans on all the big issues. Name one. Of course Democrats are not monolithic. We don't have some lying loser like Bush heading our party. We have a variety of honest sincere and hard-working leaders, some of who are competing against each other for the 2008 nomination. Iraq - Murtha or Kerry's plan, a phased redeployment starting ASAP Health care - move toward universal heathcare starting with covering all small children Environment/energy - big new effort to replace gasoline and oil as our primary fuel sources. Brazil did it, so we can too. Also go after the corrupt Big Oil lobby and neutralize some of their power over our governmment officials. Terrorism - Kerry had the right idea which Bushies mocked. Kerry was right. The way to stop terrorists is to find them and kill them, not invade whole countries. Also need excellent international cooperation, intel and police work. for heavier missions use Delta Force. but do not invade unless absolutely necessary. Taxes/ budget - We must eliminate the deficit spending and get back to Clinton era fiscal responsibility. Even if that means raising taxes on the rich back to the level they were in the 90's, when the rich did just fine. Cut wasteful spending and corruption - that will save a lot. Put corrupt politicians and white collar thieves in prison. About time.
