A wise lady. I hope she escapes our clutches and dies in her own bed. Spent some time talkin' with a 99 YO patient of mine. Sharp as a tack, and physically in great shape, prior to that admission. Hated bein stuck there. My oldest patient, at the VA, was 104. On a ventilator overnight after surgery for breaking his leg. He was fond of attacking other patients with his cane, and, one day, somebody shoved his wheelchair off the loading dock and he broke his leg. Boys will be boys.
