Jobs many months ago commissioned an elite group of Apple engineers to get the ball rolling on an intuitive hardware solution that would more closely tie the company's digital media strategy to the living-room. And so AppleInsider has been told, Apple has been quietly developing a video streaming device that will interface with an updated version of its iTunes jukebox software.


I wonder if its in any way related to this which came out of the blue a few weeks ago, Asustek is Apple's CM.

Asustek plans to launch a series of LCD TVs in the Taiwan market, with a 32- and a 42-inch model to be released in September while a 37-inch model may be introduced before year-end, according to the company as cited by the Chinese-language Apple Daily.

Besides using panels from Sharp, Asustek indicated it may consider sourcing LCD TV panels from other makers, the paper said.
