Z, I just can't buy into your position that I have nothing to do with where I am today and as such, I can't believe most people in bad situations had nothing to do with being there. I know my friend's father died six months after getting melanoma. The best healthcare in the world isn't going to save you. As for her, the system needs to actively pursue deadbeats. I know women with kids that haven't heard from their husbands after the divorce. That's the solution, not come after my paycheck. These are the people I worry about, and the reality is that these type of people are becoming more and more common. Is that OK to you? I disagree with your reality. But I am probably at least twice as old as you are and know what bad is. Try no indoor plumbing for starters. I think we both see the same problems, but disagree on a process of making it better.
