While Ahmadinejad is admired and respected by a good number of Iranian students I have met this summer in Bangkok, he is also considered by a few Iranians as something of an odd ball.
But almost all of them believe he is very frank and sincere.
"You know, he always speaks what's in his mind."

To me, he is certainly not a nutjob but a shrewd and wily politician while appearing to be blunt and having a one-track mind.

Like it or not, he certainly has got many people to sit up and take notice of Iran like never befopre.
